Players and coaching team of Nigerian Professional Football League champions Rangers International Football Club paraded streets of Enugu on Saturday, October 15, to celebrate their title after winning it for the first time in 32 years. It was celebration galore in the East, as the club supporters and teeming fans danced their way through the city to catch a glimpse of the trophy and victorious players. However, the mode with which the event took place amazed fans as the team members were conveyed in an open lorry and many have condemned the idea saying it is embarrassing for the status of the club.
The club management later apologized to their fans through their Twitter handle:
We are sincerely sorry for the embarrassment yesterday during our victory parade. God bless you all
